5 weeks of constant work and 5,000 games later… we have 900 bundles packed up and ready to go!

Our mini-warehouse (the garage at Spiel Foundation HQ) is so full now, there’s barely room to move.

This is a major milestone worthy of a few high fives. Woo!

Three steps remain.

Step one: allocating all the bundles to organizations in need across the US, Canada, and around the world. We have plans to send bundles to Spain, Nigeria, and Taiwan. Each game bundle will go to a community center, shelter, school, library, hospital, or senior center, with priority given to organizations in under served communities. Step two: negotiate the best bulk rate we can with our shipping partner (USPS).

Step three: label every package and get them loaded onto trucks.

We will host a labeling party some day in the near future once all the logistics have been worked out. If we can rally a good group of volunteers, we can get all these bundles sent on their merry way in no time. Stay tuned for more details.

With this round of deliveries, The Spiel Foundation will have delivered over 15,000 games in the last 13 months!!

From assembling every piece and bagging every component to carefully packing each box for delivery, getting each game bundle ready takes an incredible amount of effort and dedication.

The bundle program also requires a LOT of money and support. Our shipping bill alone tilts the scoreboard in the tens of thousands of dollars.

Put simply, none of this is possible without your help.

Just look at the pictures and you will have no doubt why we are in desperate need of our own facility. With a building, our own home, The Dekoven Center for Play, we will be able to take the next step as an organization, building an even better world spanning charity dedicated to the positive power of play.
