Spiel-a-thon 2017 - Geekway

The first Spiel-a-thon of 2017 was held at Geekway to the West in St. Louis, MO on May 20.

We raised $1,900!

The proceeds from each Spiel-a-thon fund our efforts to place bundles of quality games into children’s hospitals and senior centers around the country.

The driving force behind each Spiel-a-thon is the spirit of play. We raise money by playing games so more kids and seniors can play, too.

Players earn stamps for playing quick fun family games and pay $3 per stamp. Top scorers compete in a final round for wonderful prizes provided by game publishers from around the world.

The Champion of the Geekway Spiel-a-thon is Nieccole Hilliard!

We have a tireless, energetic group of volunteers that make each Spiel-a-thon happen. The people listed in the photo below donate time, resources and creativity to make the event a memorable experience for all involved. Our cast of volunteers included: Erin Green, Roni Worley, Jay Bartelt, Nathan Baumer, Tina Vo, and Matt Kelly.

We also hosted a rubber duck race at the Fancy Gaming event and raised $300!

We had an amazing array of games to give away during the Spiel-a-thon thanks to the generous donations of our prize sponsors. There were random prize drawings, plus six final contestants competed for juicy prize bundles!
